It came out about one hour ago.
The download took quite a while as the server's inundated with thousands of downloads from fellow Mac users.
Download done, I quit Safari (beta 4 btw) and Transmission which were running and I click the button to restart.
After nearly an hour though, my laptop is stuck at the running installer script update.
I'm pretty much fucked. I've been waiting for an hour for the loading bar to progress but it hasn't!
I wanna cry now........
I don't want to interrupt it as any interrupions may render my laptop unusable ie have to reformat.
Not that I mind, but restoring my data from my backup storage - Dropbox (50gb) and Sugarsync (30gb) will take some time.
Arrrgh.
Thank god I didn't start the software update in my MacBook lest it receive the same fate as my trusty old G4.
Will update the Blackie Sr tomorrow.
I think I'll leave it overnight and see whether it'll complete or not.
If not I'll have shitload of googling to do tomorrow.
Thank god for iPhone and the fact that I have 2 laptops. Lol. But seriously though, my Blackie Sr won't be updated until I'm sure it's safe to update on a MacBook.
p/s: any Mac users out there suffering the same fate as mine? Mr Cedric? I know you use a MBP. Did u have any hiccups in updating?
UPDATE: meh..... Due to my impatience, I force-restarted my laptop. (an absolute no no in a Mac world). But force-restart my laptop, I did. Turns out the laptop is updated all right. Yippie xD
Now - we move forward with reading NC17 and R rated slash fiction of Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy >> me and my lil sister's favourite slash pairing ^-^
