In anticipation of the almighty LION, I wanted to backup my MacBook using Time Machine so that if anything unintended were to happen, I can just boot up from my backup. [related to pics below]. I’ve kinda been waiting for this for a year, so I’m practically giddy with anticipation. :D
The only thing that seriously irks me to hell is that since this update is only offered through the Mac App Store [MAS], I have no choice but to wait until next month to update it. Why? Coz I’ve just blown through my broadband quota for this month, so to download approximately 4GBs worth of data is quite incomprehensible with a restricted 120kbit/s speed at the moment. I seriously do hate Malaysia’s internet in general, and I so dearly miss my 100GB per month quota with 20MB/s fibre-optic internet line ☹
It would be so much easier if Apple would still sell and ship physical DVDs like they have done so in the past. I bought my Snow Leopard DVD from Singapore’s Apple Store [Malaysia haven’t launched their online Apple Store yet at that time] and didn’t have to bother downloading and wasting my precious bb quota.
I personally like to keep all my DMGs so that if anything were to happen, I could just hit open that DMG and install. Same with my OSs. As I install and re-install my computers quite a lot, I like to keep and collect all my OS DVDs. In fact, I still have all of them - Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard - including backup DVDs that i ripped myself for a -just-in-case-occurences. That’s just me though.

I was browsing through her external HDD as she doesn’t really uses it and I need some extra space to backup some of my files that aren’t backed-up by Time Machine and came across this. Asked her who the guy is, and was told that he was a trainee but hasn’t officially debuted yet ~ or something like that.
